Joseph S.B. SMITH (JSB) and Mary Angelina RAY married in Travis Co., TX late
December 1869. They farmed north of Georgetown, Williamson Co. until about
1900 when they moved to a new farm/ranch near Lometa in Lampasas County TX,
where they resided until their deaths in 1903 and 1936 respectively. Of
their twelve children, the eldest and youngest were girls, with ten boys
between:

Sarah Clementine Smith m H.C. Sedberry
Will J. Smith m. Laura Robertson
Arthur Lee SMITH m Mattie Dunston
Alf M. Smith m. Cora Louise Barrow
Benjamin Franklin Smith m. Willie C. Whitehead (my great grandparents)
Elbert Smith m. Jessie (Cooper?)
David Daniel "Dan" Smith m. Myrtle Hufstutler
Forest Smith m. Erma
Lum C. Smith m. Lisa
Sterling Smith m. Verdie
Obe L. Smith m. Lucille
May Smith m. Elzie Whitehead

Would love to correspond with other researchers and descendants of this
family!

Also seek information about David SMITH and wife Clementine, of Bell County
TX, around the time of the Civil War.
And.... Mary SMITH Robbins, (wife of Benjamin Robbins of Coosa Co. AL) who
received a pre-emptive land grant (homestead) around 1850 in Wood Co. TX.
Particularly interested in any Native American SMITHS originating in NC & AL
before coming to TX.

Thanks in advance!
