Hi List ,

Trying to sort out some Smith's in LCT . Can anyone make connections to a
Jonathan Smith listed on 1840 LCT census ? It shows his birth between 1810 -
1820 . he has 2 dau. under 5 , 2 dau. bet. 5-10 , 1 son under 5 , 1 son 5-10
. Wife bet. 1825-1820 .
It was first assumed he was Jonathan Smith who married Pheby Jane Rainey ,
but that Jonathan Smith wasn't born til 1831 .
I believe the Jonathan Smith first mentioned to have been born in NC . If
anyone can identify this Jonathan Smith , I'd really appreciate the help .
It would clear up a lot of questions .
