I have just learned that my great grandfather Henry V. Smith purchased a
large sheep ranch outside of Laredo between 1860 and 1869 with partners
Major Darling and Mr. Cother. They were all killed by Indians and my
great grandmother (Caroline Smith) sold the ranch (approximately 1870
plus or minus) as the other men had no heirs. I was wondering if there
were any persons in Laredo that could check to see if there is a record
of the transaction and photocopy it for me. I will be happy to
