I have a William David Smith, born in Mecklenberg VA on January 17, 1790
to John and Mary Smith (Not a lot of info on these two.) William was
found in Washington Parish, LA around 1810-1820 as a single farmer. His
parents were found in the same neighborhood with three other children.
William married Elizabeth Roberts ca 1823 in San Augustine, Texas. The
Roberts were also in Washington Parish at the same time. After
Elizabeth's death and the death of his mother Mary, William moved to
Gonzales County, Texas after 1850.

Who is your oldest proven male Smith? Who was he married to? What were
the names of his known children? Where is he from?
Please change the subject line to read the name of your oldest proven
Smith.
