About 70-+ years ago, I asked my Father why my name was SMITH.
His answer was, "Because that's my name." I asked him why his name
was SMITH. He told me that long, long ago there were no SMITHs at
all, anywhere in the world, and one by one as people did something
that they were ashamed of, they changed their name to SMITH. That
is why there are so many SMITHs in the world.
