Hi everyone.
I'm looking for any information on a SMITH family which moved from
Middleboro, MA to Sullivan Co. NH to NY.

John SMITH s/o Jonathan SMITH and Sarah CHURCHILL was b. in 1729 in
Middleboro, MA. He m. Bethiah CHIPMAN b. 1732 in Halifax d/o Jacob
CHIPMAN and Bethiah THOMAS, both Mayflower descendants of John
HOWLAND. THey had at least 3 children among them:

John SMITH b. Sept 4, 1769 in Middleboro, MA. This John's parents,
John and Bethiah, both d. 1777 and John was taken into the home of
Joseph SMITH, relation unknown by me at this time. Somehow, he ended
up in NH and married Deborah NEWTON, d/o Isaac NEWTON. They had many
children in NH before moving to NY shortly before 1820:

(SMITH)
1. Benjamin Giles 1798-1800
2. John 1799-1878 d. NY m. (1) Ann T. ?? (2) Delia NEWBERRY
3. Florilla 1801-1855 d. OH or IL m. ?? BABCOCK
4. Theodoric 1803-1847 m. Fanny OWEN

The NY families settled around Tompkins/Schuyler counties, near
