Hello to any SMITH researcher from the Baltimore MD area:

I request of them to please try to contact me about missing person.
Simple fact I am in Oregon.....Please, Please, Please keep me in mind.
Be on the look out for: My grand uncle DAVID LEWIS SMITH, he also went
by DAVID L SMITH, his date of birth is January 9, 1886.

He was born at Mount Vernon, Westchester County, New York oldest son of
Samuel Fair Smith (August 1858 - 1920) and Cynthia Ann (Wood(s)) Smith
(May 1, 1864 - June 13, 1949).

In January 1943 he received a Social Security Card from your state in or
near Baltimore MD. I have the Social Security card number and a letter
from the Social Security Administration saying that he would have gotten
it himself as the number was not an automatic issue.

I do not know if he was ever married but he is not listed as dead with
Social Security. He nor anyone else ever paid into his Social Security
account for him. This leads me to believe that he was self employed or
owned a business.

I know that he probably did not want his Three sisters or mother to find
him but my grandmother, the youngest, always loved him dearly. This is
the last that I could find of his trail. I was named for him too.

Please if anyone can are you willing to help me?
