Subject: Samuel Fair Smith/Irish/New York/ Aug 1858 - February 4, 1920

Samuel Fair Smith died suddenly in Chicago Cook County, Illinois on
February 4, 1920. I am searching for a death certificate. Copy need
not be certified. Will send SASE to anyone who can obtain this
document. Body shipped back to former home at 22 Union Avenue, Mount
Vernon, Westchester County, New York. The body arrived on February 11,
1920 private wake with private burial same day in Eastchester City
Cemetery.

I have received information from Eastchester City department of Burials.
The only cemetery in Eastchester became Holy Mount in 1925. It is run by
the Roman Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception. No records are
available prior to 1925 from this organization. Anyone near Eastchester
City in Westchester County, New York is encouraged to contact me
privately.

Anyone who had information on Samuel Fair Smith please contact me.
Records show his parents born in Ireland. He purchased land on record
in 1881 at Mount Vernon and married in 1885 to Cynthia Ann Wood.
