Hi Ruth,
First of all .. A woman by her self with samll children .. married very
quickly as did men . so her marrying a neighbor is not unusual.
Now if your Mary SMITH shows born in NY? She possibly may be the dau. of
Hiatt SMITH and Elizabeth (Betsey)HOBART ..
