In your research for your book, do you have any information on Evan Snead of VA?
I cannot find the parents of Evan Snead who married Elizabeth Henderson in
Virginia. Evan was born about 1748 and died 1810 in Halifax County, VA
I do not know anything about his wife's family
Their son, Israel Snead (1780-1841) married Nancy Bondurant. He is
buried in Lynchburg, VA
Their son, Henderson Snead (1813-1850) of Lynchburg, VA married
Martha Barley (1820-1849) and their son, Israel Snead is my great
grandfather.
I am also in the DAR. My patriot is John Barley through Martha Barley. I
cannot find anything on Evan Snead and his wife. Any clues or help
would be so appreciated. Thanks!
