Subject: Does anyone know if Maywood ever had a newspaper?

I am looking for the obituary of Josiah A. Morse who died in 1927. His
obituary was not in the LA Times, or the LA Herald, and he lived in Maywood,
so I am wondering if they had a newspaper at that time, and if so, does
anyone have access to a library where the newspaper files might be kept?
Guess I should have explained in my first query that I was looking for a 1927
obituary, not a current one. Thanks, Ronette from South Dakota
