Subject: San Benito Co. Marriage Records 1874 to 1924

Greetings All...
I have recently finished compiling a listing of all Marriage Records
of San Benito County, California from 1874 to June 1907. The listings
include; Groom and Bride's name, residence, age, where they were
born, Marriage Affidavit Date, Witnesses, Marriage Date, the Book
and Page #s that the Marriage Certificate is located in at the
San Benito County Courthouse (approximately 1600 marriages). Also
included are partial records that cover July 1907 to 1924 that
include; name, Marriage Date, book and page # (approximately 250
marriages). The San Benito County Historical Society has agreed to
pay for publishing this information in a soft cover, wire bound book
to be sold for about $25.00 each plus shipping. Before the society
spends the money--it's very expensive to print that many pages--to
much of a good thing ;) we would like to know if anyone is interested
in purchasing a copy. The books will be about 220 pages (8 1/2 x 11).
This project was done specifically as a fund raiser for the society,
as the saying goes "because we need the bucks". If we can pre-sell
some books then we maybe able to print 100 copies instead of only 50.
Please let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks for your time and
consideration.........................SueBdoo
P.S. Here is a sample;

CROXEN, J.J. of New Idria, age 28 years, native of California
and
BURNETT, Ella E. of Hollister, age 21 years, native of California
signed an Affidavit of Intent to Marry on September 21, 1885 and
got married on September 22, 1882 as witnessed by W.F. Burnett
and Recorded in Marriages--Book 1, on Page 441.
