Services: Thurs., March 11, 11 a.m.
Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park,
2739 Panama Ln, & Frwy 99, for Eugene A. "Gene" Scheeler, 75, who passed away
March 6, 1993, in Bakersfield. Pastor Sid Peterson and the Veterans Association
of Kern County will officiate.
Gene was born June 16, 1917, in Des Moines, Iowa and had resided in Kern
County for 25 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II and a member of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a farm equipment sales representative for 45
years and was last employed with E. O. Mitchell of Arvin as a sales general
manager. He loved fishing & camping.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Avis Scheeler of Bakersfield;
daughters, Vivian of Bakersfield, Janice of Santa Paula and Karen of Orinda; son
Stewart of Castaic; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brothers,
Howard and Bob Scheeler, both of Washington.
We had many kind and loyal friends and was a thoughtful and loving
husband, father and grandfather. Visitation will begin, Wednesday, March 10 at 1 p.m.
