Subject: SSDI POSTING, HOW LOW AFTER DEATH?
Date: Tue, 15 Jun 2004 10:28:51 EDT

Morning all,
After a death in CA. how long until the person is posted on SSDI
www?
We were informed last night abt an aunt's death this past spring.
Just a short blurb in San Juan Capistrano Historical Society's newsletter.
No, the S.J.C.H.S. doesn't know who called with the
info as she was not a member & they had no idea who she was
related to. Go figure~
Our dear little aunt was probably 100 or very close. Don't
know if she passed in Los Angeles Co. or Orange Co. If in L.A.
she might have been in the Mar Vista area of Santa Monica,
but we heard she moved a few yrs. ago. 3 of us (all AVILA
cousins) were shocked we weren't notified, yet realize we
knew her but not her children nor grandchildren. Our aunt
was interested in CA. History & her heritage but I know none
of her 3 children cared. She was even a "ROSIE The Riviter"
gal in L.A. I loved those stories. Great, successful family -
just didn't understand their important CA. ancestry nor
keep in touch with their AVILA Family in Capistrano.
Our sweet little aunt's name is LULA (she never knew her real
name) AVILA HOWE. Born - San Juan Capistrano to JOSE
or JOE & LILLY (given name ukn) YORBA de AVILA. I've been
searching papers for obits & everything I can think of all night.
Nada, zip & I'm FRUSTRATED! Any clues or help will be greatly
appreciated by our family. Thank you, Rita
