A new accesion to the library this week has been Griffith's Valuation
of Ireland (1848-1864) this is on Cd rom and a valuable source for
anyone with Irish Roots.

Talking of Irish Roots anyone out there with such may be interested
to know that the Society will be running a day course next year on
Irish research, dates and details will be confirmed nearer the time.

I have received this morning from the US a new title to the bookshop
"Irish Record sources for family and local history" by James G Ryan
PhD. This is a very comprehensive book, covering a massive range of
sources, (668 A4 pages in hardcover) The cost of this title is £30
and for mail orders postage would be £4. Orders can be phoned through
to me, or faxed or emailed, there are limited quantities as they have
to be shipped over!
