Dear All
I have recently upgraded to FTM V5 and find the research list very helpful.
You can enter quite a lengthy paragraph , categorise, and even grade it and
give a date to be completed by.
I tend to enter enough details to allow me to take just the list . You can
select as many categories that you want to print eg FRC or SOG or print
the whole thing. There are also tick boxes to show when a task has been
completed. Here again you can print completed tasks if you want to.
It is still early days but It seems to do the trick and better that
numerous peices of paper, note pads, cards etc
There is another useful area. You can now made an additional entry in the
same field, for conflicting data. This produces its own report and again
act like a to do list. However I haven't yet decided whether I will use
that facility or just put everything on the research list. I seem to think
that the fewer peices of paper the better. Using the list for conflicting
data doesn't allow you to categorise where you need to do the look up.
One thing I did notice on the leaflet that came in the box, was that there
were foreign language form letters included in this version. I can't find
them anywhere in the software. Has anyone else found them.
