I too am considering whether I can afford to remain a member this year.
I went to the Newquay conference and would love to have taped the many
lectures - my notes leave a lot to be desired.
I don't suppose I shall see the SOG down here again for a while and the
other (few) lectures I get locally are very parocial - I do have other
interests than Cornwall.
I find a good deal to keep me occupied on the Net, and have resigned my
membership to several societies (including the Goons) as a result. A
journal once a quarter is not enough to make me spend my pension.
The Brookwood Cemetary Society tapes their talks - even Julian Lytton and
he publishes - I think tapes encourage us to buy the book - at least
Julian's did me.
