Not so I am afraid. Many (most?) better quality video players in the UK will
auto-read the format of videos inserted into them (PAL or NTIS) and will play
them back on standard UK TVs accordingly. I do it all the time. My grandson
in England was watching a video I recorded for him in Phoenix just last month.
