Hi,
I have a microfiche reader for sale for £45 including spare bulb. It is a
Bell & Howell S1 with an upright screen, metalic blue and I believe the
magnification is 24X, which is okay for most purposes.
Reasons for sale: My house decorations are mainly green; I have a back
injury and often had to wait for someone else to move it for me; I
transcribe parish registers from microfiche onto typewriter or computer and
found the magnification was not sufficient for very old registers without me
having to bend across to read them accurately.
If anyone is interested, they would have to collect it.
I am moving, hopefully, in a few weeks, and if anyone has any suggestions
how I can sell for a few pounds an elderly Amstrad computer with screen and
keyboard but with a broken hard disk, and a couple of 386 computers, one
condition unknown (no accessories) and the other with some kind of
electrical problem which I've been told would cost £50 to repair (with
screen & keyboard & probably a mouse).
