Does anyone know where Maidenhatch, Berkshire is? Is it possibly a house?
My "Road Atlas of Britain" does not show such a place. The National
Register of Archives shows the Berkshire Record Office holding records
for the Breedon family of Bere Court, Maidenhatch, and Pangbourne
1420-1894: Berks deeds 1420-1855 and miscellaneous estate papers 1822-94.
Bere Court is a house in Pangbourne (for sale last October, I noticed for
1.5 million, though last I looked the gate house was falling down), but I
have never heard of Maidenhatch.
