At last, the list has come to life again.
We have the same arguments here in NZ between the internet users and the non
computing genealogists.
In our Tauranga branch of the NZSG we have 136 members, of whom about 45 are
on email. When I suggested we email our bimonthly newsletters - talk about
set the cat among the pigeons ! Can we send over some of those pigeons ?
(We now email the newsletters, except to 3 who even refuse to print them
off, and demand that theyreceive the usual newsletter. )
I refuse to believe, that other than a few people living in remote parts of
the country, there are many people without access to the internet. As
Barney says libraries offer access, not to mention cyber cafes. Yes there
is a price but at least there is not the capital outlay for a computer..
Glad to see the list in action again and to see Barney back on line.
