Frank Hardy has kindly set out his interpretation of the Society's
constitution.

When the recent abolition of the committee reared its head on this list I
thought it would be interesting to look at the Society's Rules which had
been given to me when I joined. However, on looking at these I found that
they were nothing to do with the Society's constitution whatsoever, but
merely dealt with such things as times of opening, hat and coat lockers and
suchlike (useful) information.

One would have thought that members should perhaps be given a copy of the
Society's Constitutional Rules, Articles of Association or whatever and not
have to rely on someone having to take the trouble to post his personal
thoughts on the subject. Presumably, we are all shareholders as well as
members.

If any improprieties have arisen, as Frank Hardy suggests, might this not
be perhaps, in part, due to the failure to provide this information?
