Quiite so, if I were an enterprising crook, I would sit across the line
out of a large retail outfit picking the numbers off from the on-line
verifications of the cards.

Indeed, or even at a restaurarnt where the wandour out the back to
"process" your card.

I am a big user of ordering things by e-mail, NEVER EVER had any problesm.

That includes ordering certs per e-mail from ONS.
