Around 15,000, so treble your numbers.
It seems that the SoG can make a one-off charge of 7.50 pounds to first
time members and no one objects, so here's what the Executive have to
do:
1) Pass a motion at the AGM next month that there will be a one-off
single charge of 10 pounds for all membership renewals in Jan 2002 and
that this sum of money and later interest it earns will be ring-fenced
for premises enlargement or digitisation, and will be reported on
separately in all annual accounts.
2) Do it.
Hey even the present Exec should be able to get their brains round that
one! But whether they want to is another question...
