Hello Beth

The Post office Archives are very near the FRC in Myddelton Place and
also the London Metropolitan Archives in Northampton Road.

The address is:
Freeling House, Mount Pleasant Complex, Islington, London EC1A 1BB.
Tel: 0207-320-7443 / 0207-239-2570
The public search room is open Mon-Fri, 9am - 4.15pm
Research is free - research aids, subject indexes & mfm viewers.
Also their new premises opened in March 1992
The entrance is in Phoenix Place (which is east of and parallel to
Farringdon Road) off Mount Pleasant

P.S. This information was in the Genealogists Magazine (June 1992) p.125
[I made an index card at the time] and, unless someone proves me wrong,
I hope the details are still correct.
