It is hard to imagine that the Society could ignore the 4% of key members
that subscribe to this list - it would have been nice to have been told in
advance of impending doom or even ask for suggestions.

It would not be totally fair to compare the bookshop to Amazon, bearing in
mind that Amazon always demands a 65% discount to sell them on their
website!!. If the Society had demanded the same sort of discounts from its
suppliers, perhaps it would not be in such problems.

As long as we can at least get Society publication, I suppose that is a
consolation, assuming of course the Society does still publish, or perhaps
that will be the next to go.

Perhaps if the Society closed down, and didn't inform its members, it would
be able to make a profit, and with any luck no one would notice. But of
course then the list would cease, and we would have to moan and whinge
elsewhere <g>
