Members with naval ancestors may like to know that four volumes of
William James' Naval History of Great Britain from the Declaration of
War by France in 1793 to the Accession of George IV are available on the
Net. There is an index of 4800+ names mentioned in the book.



Not an easy book to use but nevertheless a valuable resource.

BTW, I am researching the life and times of a warrant officer gunner
