With all the wealth of knowledge clearly on display about military matters
can anyone tell me about the occupation of "Army Schoolmaster"? My great
grandfather was listed as such on his marriage certificate in 1905. In 1906
he is described on the birth certificate of his son as a corporal, 2nd
Dorsetshire Regiment. On both dates he was living in Colchester a couple of
streets away from what is now Colchester garrison.
