Hello Phil,

Thank you for your prompt reply with the address. I will now get in
touch with the Masons.

Kind regards,

Roger

Roger,

Through Newcastle upon Tyne Quarter Sessions records, I was able to
establish that my great grandfather, Gustave Lambrecht de Poitiers, was
a
Mason. I wrote to the Library and Museum of Freemasonry and found them
to be
most helpful. They were able to confirm age, address, dates and offices
held, and most importantly, that he had joined from the Brussels Lodge
on 23
March 1868. Unfortunately, enquiries in Belgium have not been as
forthcoming.

The address is in England is: Freemason's Hall, Great Queen Street,
London
WC2B 5AZ.

I also found the SOG publication "My Ancestor Was A Freemason" by Pat
Lewis
a helpful publication.

Regards,

Phil Thirkell
