Have 1901 census entries been recently given new variable PersonID numbers? I
am sure it's only been a week or so since I last used the PersonID numbers to
confirm members of the same household without downloading the image, but
strange things are happening!
For example, I originally got the following Thriplow, Cambs entries a year or
so back:
Charlotte Flack Head 49 PersonID 20205208
Mabel Flack Dau 11 20205209
Leonard Flack son 9 20205210
I did download the image on this occasion RG13/1296/78/4
The same family today has the following PersonID numbers:
Charlotte Flack 108138263739
Mabel Flack 108138269091
Leonard Flack 108138274443
Thinking I was going mad I redid the search:
Charlotte Flack 124039767773
Mabel Flack 124039773912
Leonard Flack 124039780051
I had the same problem with a Flack family in Surrey. Am I imagining things,
or have other people come across the same problem? Surely this is not an
attempt to force us to pay for the image each and every time?
Forgive me if someone has raised this already: I seem to be one of those that
are not getting regular digests these days.
