Are we to presume that the Family History Centre is to be phased out? The
material all transferred to Digital and the books destroyed?

Now there's an intriguing thought.

The legality of this proposed move is, of course, highly questionable, but
that will not stop the government from doing it. If they can bomb people
against public opinion, then moving simple records is a mere bagatelle.

I wonder if it will be possible to opt out. I can opt out of my records
being made public from the electoral role, so why not from the BMD records.
That could spike their guns.
