Thankyou Constance for initiating this Roll Call. It is quite amazing to think there are so many people
on the List, & I had hoped that this would inspire them all to list their families & help others to make
connections, but obviously many still haven't sent their interests.

My SOLON/SOLAN research has kept me busy for more than 20yrs, my husband, Len's great grand
father, was John SOLON, one of 14 children born in Balla, Co Mayo, Ireland, to Martin SOLON
& Mary ( nee McGLYNN or McELLIN ). ( I do have an old family tree with possibly 2 more generations
back from Martin, but it is very hard to decipher, due to the way in which it is written.)
During that time I have accumulated great amounts of details on many SOLON lines in hopes of finding
links with others.

Contact has been made with some descendants of family who emigrated to the USA, as well as Catherine's
family in Australia, but I would love to make contact with any other descendants from the remaining 7 of
the 14 children of Martin & Mary. I have had no success with the links back in Ireland.

John Solon STACK, from the SOLON List, is a cousin of Len's & we met at a Family Reunion in South
Dakota in 1999.
