If you recognize any of these smiths let me know:
CHARLES SMITH - UNKNOWN(Some reports indicate a Sarah Vorse/Voss)
Married probably in mid 1800's. Charles may have come from Scotland.
Had eight children: Winfield Scott, Abbie (may have married a Hubbs),
Kathie, Joe, Henen, Kinze, Neil and Harvey.
This has been varied. Probably married in Wetzel County, WV. Chester
Arthur was my father, born May 13, 1899. Senia Lemasters found in
Wetzel County census.
WINFIELD SCOTT SMITH - SENIA OR CENIA (OCENA) MAY LEMASTERS
Winfield b. March 22, 1873 - d. April 14, 1942. Senia Lemasters b. Oct.
19, 1880, d. June 20, 1930.
Probably married in 1890's . Thought to be in or around Wetzel County,
West Va. Settled in Monongalia County at least in 1920's. Had ten
children: Chester Arthur (b. 13 May 1899, d. 30 June, 1955; married
Melissa Olive Stewart); Flossie Ledora (married a Maust), Bessie,
Lester, Sylvester, Dephia (married Robert Mollard), Opal, Bertha Marie,
Katherine Ruby (married a Harry Kerns) and Dollie May b. 6 Feb. 1914, d.
24 Mar. 1947). Flossia Ledora married Henry Edward Maust. Had a son
George Arthur Maust, grandson Arthur & Donnie Maust and greatgrandson
David Maust. Arthur and David live in Fairmont, WV. Flossia died when
she was 18.
Do not know if Mary E. "Molly" Smith was related to Winfield Scott
Smith.
Jasper Lemasters, married Molly Smith. Had ten children: Clarence
(Siddie Estep, settled in Monongalia County, WV); Charles (Edith
Greathouse, lived in Jerry, WV. located in Monongalia County), Marcus
(Winnie Kerns); Winfield (Virgie Postelwait, settled in and around
Claysville, Pa.); Ethel (Gray); Jemima (Kidd, believed to have lived in
Eastern Ohio); Luther, Andrew, Josephine (Harlon) and Senia May
(Winfield Scott Smith, lived in Monongalia County, WV.)
