Today my Aunt sent me a jewel. My great grandmother was Arminta Hare married
to Daniel Siehl. The family story was she was an indentured servant at the
age of 6, so I have given up hope of tracing her. She was born abt. 1844 and
died in Somerset County 1911. My aunt wrote "the name of the family that
'owned'Arminta was (sounds like) Mankymeyer. They owned a farm in
Meyersdale...I talked with a person...she replied that her husband was (one of
the Mankymeyers)...and that her husband had a nephew in Kenmore, Ohio... she
said he had all kinds of pictures and information. First name I remember, or
think I do, was Jeffery...." Can anyone offer me some suggestions to her
remembrance? Thanks Dorothy
