Hello all:

I am a recent subscriber to your list and thought I would take this
opportunity to post my Somerset County names. I am happy to share what
information I have with anyone researching the same line/lines.

BERKEY: Christian Berkey + Catrina Saylor; I have this line fairly well
documented thanks to the Berkey Book by Ruth Berkey Reichley and Gingerich &
Kreider's Amish Mennonite book, although there are some differences. I'm
especially interested in sharing information with descendants of Joseph Berkey
(1778-1824) + Mary Good ca. 1781-after 1850) and their son Samuel (1806-1894)
They were r. of Jenner Twp.

GOOD: looking for parents of Mary GOOD, b. ca. 1781, m. ca. 1805 my ancestor
Joseph Berkey (1778-1824), above. I can't seem to locate her
parents/siblings/ancestors.

RHOADS and LIVENGOOD: My ancestor Samuel BERKEY (1806-1894) married Susannah
RHOADS or LIVENGOOD (1806-1871). Death certificates from 2 different sons,
list these two different last names for Susannah and I cannot link her to
either family! Help!! Samuel and Susannah lived in Jenner Twp. at least
until 1850; after 1850 Susannah does not appear in any censuses with her
husband. He followed children to Cambria Co. and Michigan. Have not found
any proof of her death (date of 1871 comes from Berkey Book) and her maiden
name is still a mystery.
