Ann & All,
In November my husband received his Great Grandfather's Civil War
Medal...along with a beautiful letter awarding it to him. Indeed, it is a
site that is well worth the time to check out!
His family is now much more receptive to my questions...and now see a
'purpose' to my peculiar interest in the past. <grin> Of course, all the
boys are a little green, but they didn't let that affect their happiness
for him.
Are you going to display the medals? Raymond and I have been looking for a
frame that would allow us to hang the medal and the letter in a glass
cover. We haven't had much luck finding one tho....I keep telling him that
we may have to have it made.
Congratulations! Karla Showalter
