The entry in Brethren Encyclopedia for Blough PA Sugar Grove Church of the
Brethren says: "in 1890 the Quemahoning (Maple Spring) congregation built a
meetinghouse in Blough on land donated by Jacob B. Blough It as known as the
Sugar Grove house but was frequently called the Blough house...."
Apparently this congregation is now The Shade Creek congregation.

My guess would be that it is no coincidence that a family named Blough is
living in a town named Blough, but I have no real knowledge about any of this.
