A gateway is an automatic link from one place to another that only the
Listowner can turn on or off. In this case, the gateway being referred to
was between the Somerset County GenConnect Query Board and this List. When
the gateway was 'on', each time a new query was posted to the Somerset Query
Board, it was automatically replicated to this List. Carol chose to turn it
off therefore if you want notified when new Queries are posted, you must
sign up on the Query Board to have GenConnect automatically send you a brief
email containing the date, subject and surnames of each new post.
