Found this post of yours to the Somerset Co. mailing list as I have
both Moon and Anderson in my family lines, though I don't know of any
connection to yours.

My GGrandfather on my mother's side was Albert A. Davis m. to Savina J.
Anderson. She was born in 1859 in Burnt Cabins, Fulton Co. Pa., the
daughter of Henry Anderson m. Jane Sites. Henry was probably born about
1820-1830, but I don't have any further information on him.

I take it your Margaret Moon might have been connected to a James Moon?
(Just last evening looking over the census records posted on the Som.
Co mailing list I saw him...1840?)

My Moon connection is to Abraham Moon who settled in Garrett Co., Md.
around 1800. From what's been written of him it appears he was German.

I found a few tombstone inscriptions on one of my jaunts to Garrett Co.
Md. - Somerset County, Pa.

"Jacob Moon b. Jan. 3, 1859. Wife Phoebe b. May 20, 1866. Lottie, Wife
of S. W. Moon b. July 19, 1893. U. Grant Moon son of J. & P. b. Sept.
13, 1891."

My notes say I found them at "Mt. Zion Church north of Ursina, off 281
in Somerset County."
