Carol,
I just want to thank you for your understanding and allowing us to
discuss our grief and horror about what has happened. The list owners of the
PA list are actually forbidding any discussion that is not genealogy related
and when I refused to obey it I was unilaterally unsubbed from that list.
This is the worst thing to ever happen to our country and I for one am
absolutely horrified by it all.One of the first people from the airliner that
crashed in Somerset Co. to be publicly identified was a flight attendant,Cee
Cee Lyles she is from my area her husband is a local sheriffs deputy and they
have 4 small children. While I don't know this family their story has hit too
close to home as I also have family that work for an airline and family and
close friends that are in law enforcement and do know them.My heart just
aches for all of these lost souls and their families.
Thank you and God Bless us all,
Pati

<< Dear friends and family,
As list administrator, I just want to let everyone know that I feel that it
is always necessary to allow list members the chance to express their
feelings anytime we suffer tragic events such as what occurred yesterday.
This is even more true when Somerset County is affected in any measure. The
last time our list was involved in any discussion outside of genealogy was
during the terrible tornados that hit Somerset County several years ago.
I realise that some list members may wish to unsubscribe from the email list
because they do not like to see messages that are "off topic". I would just
say that you are encouraged to stay on this list and just press the delete
button. This too shall pass and for any list member who has been with us
for any length of time knows that 99% of the time our list is "on topic".
My sympathies are of course with the families in Somerset who witnessed such
a horrible scene. I was glad to hear no one was directly hurt on the
ground.
Thank you all for your support and warmest wishes.
