Thank you all for your suggestions to help me find George Elrick's farm.
Last summer, I spent quite a bit of time in Bedford County at the Pioneer
Historical Society, trying to find some clues. On a tax list of Londonderry
Twp., I took note of the names of some of the neighbors. One was Josiah
Miller. I believe that the log cabin that was moved to the Somerset
Historical Society grounds belonged to Josiah Miller. I have been wondering
if any of you have knowledge of where exactly that cabin came from. It
might help me to zero in on a general area. And, the Lybargers must have
been neighbors, too. Other names were May and Studebaker. Does this help
target an area??? There is a Wills Creek on the maps in Somerset County
also. that flows across the County Line into Bedford County.
