Hi everybody,

I am seeking information on the marriage of Rachel BAKER. She was born 10
November 1810, the daughter of Douglas BAKER and Mary Ann (or Ann Marie)
GARLITZ. Douglas and Mary Ann were married 27 April 1790 in Somerset County,
PA. They later moved to Tuscarawas County, Ohio, and subsequently died there;
Douglas on 18 March 1850 and Mary Ann on 12 May 1852.

I have a Rachel BAKER married to John FAIR in my family tree but I have no
information on her at all. John FAIR was the son of Christopher FAIR (or
FEHR) and Elizabeth HUFFMAN; he was born 26 October 1806 and died 25 November
1881. John's father Christopher moved from PA to Tuscarawas County; I believe
John followed a similar path though I don't have specifics.

John and Rachel's eldest daughter Mariah was born 25 March 1829 in Somerset
County, PA, and married Peter GARLITZ 18 August 1847. Later, John and
Rachel's daughter Hannah was born in Ohio in 1842 and married Joseph Christian
MCKENZIE 27 January 1865 in Tuscarawas County. Joseph C. and Hannah were my
great-great-grandparents.

FAIRs, MCKENZIEs, GARLITZes and BAKERs continued to associate with each other
in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. As a result, I suspect that the Rachel BAKER who
married John FAIR was the daughter of Douglas BAKER and Mary Ann GARLITZ, but
I need to find some proof to back this up.
