James D. UPOLE was said to have been born in Somerset
County, PA

His father, William, listed (in Wm.'s CW pension
application) that James was b. Sept. 23, 1868.

Any assistance with confirming this information would be
greatly appreciated. It appears no birth records were kept
for that time frame.
