Have you tried the Message Boards at Ancestry.com?
I plugged in Augustine and got many hits. One even
claims to have Augenstein/Augustine info to the
1500's.There are also several e-mail addys to check
out. You don't have to have a subscription to Ancestry
to use it...... just register.
