For extra information on Isaac WIGGILL
His third wife Mary Kirk was actually the widow of John Kirk, her maiden
name Mary Ann BROWN daughter of Stephen BROWN 1820 settler. Isaac left her
considerable property in Uitenhage in his will. She then married John
HALLIDAY. Mary Ann Wiggill was the writer of several letters to her niece
Lydia Frances BROWN who later married Alexander Menzies McGILLEWIE. In these
letters she outlined all the members of Stephen BROWN's family from his two
wives , some pre 1820.
