Dear Becky or anyone else looking for WILLMOREs.

I have a George WILLMORE who died in 1916 and is buried at Sevenfountains. He married Elizabeth QUICK. Does anyone know how he is connected to other WILLMORE families?

I am also looking for Joan WILLMORE who married Neal SPARROW. She is buried at Rokeby Park. (1932-1964). Do you know her parents?

Myrtle WILLMORE who married Frank Cecil PURDON. I would like to know how she fits into the WILLMORE family. They were probably born in about the late 1800's.

WHo is the spouse of Dorothy DIMELOW (1827-1902) All I know is she was a Mrs WILLMORE.

I am absolutely sure that the first three names are connected to the progenitor Gregory WILLMORE and would love some more information.

Thanks
Joan

Hi Folks

Thanks for all your support, especially to Joan for starting this
thread.

My maiden name was HENWICK, and breaking down that brick wall has left
me exhausted, so to ensure that I retained my sanity, I switched to my
Great-grandmother's side and have found it enthralling.

When I first started with this crazy hobby, I found researching the 1820
British Settler HILL a huge headache. All I had was two bad copies of
HILL death notices and nothing much more to go on. But then Val sent me
her tree on Henry HILL, youngest son of Charles HILL, and what with all
the wonderful contributions from Ellen, I was well on my way.

I've collected all material on HILL that comes my way and it certainly
pays off. I've been able to match a few links to other branches of the
HILL Tree, although not always directly related.

Names I'm researching:

Charles HILL, 1820 British Settler and his descendants. Off-shoots so
far are:-
AMM
BEHRENS; BERESFORD; BUTT
CROFT
DOLD
FERREIRA; FLETCHER
IMPEY
JAKINS
LAKE
MILLS; MORGAN
OATES
WILMOT

Dear Fred HENWICK maybe spelt his name as HUNWICK, but still remains
elusive. The fortunate thing is that all the HENWICK descendants in
South Africa come from the same Tree. Off-shoots so far are:-
CHADWICK
DENNIS
FENNELL; FORSYTH
GLANVILLE
McPHAIL
PEARCE
WILLMORE; WILSON or WILLSON

Best wishes
Becky
