Thanks for the correction ...... Whenever we hit Pretoria these days all the
signs say Tshwane.
However I would like to just correct "Ekurhuleni" just to help those folks
who don't live in and around Gauteng.
And yes, I agree, all town and country names should be as they were at the
time of each bmd with preferably the changes in brackets.

Correction! From a Pretoriana!

The City of Pretoria is still Pretoria. Only the "Greater metropolitan
area" which encompasses other areas around Pretoria eg Centurion, Mamelodi
etc, is called Tshwane - just like Boksburg, Benoni, Springs etc are part of
the Ekuhuleni Metropolitan area.

By the way, I also record names as they were at the time of the event eg
Pretoria, Transvaal in the "old days" and Pretoria, Gauteng now.
