Thanks Becky,
I will look into this one as well - once again we have the double "ll"
in the surname which seems to have been changed by the person writing
the information at the time.
I just love all the clues I get from reading these letters
Have a good week
Shirley

Hi Sue and Paxie

This connection is to the "other MORGANs" - Assistant Surgeon Alexander
Braithwaite MORGAN, or Nathaniel Arthur MORGAN, also a medical
practitioner.
Haven't been able to link up their ancestry to "our MORGANs" yet. Sue,
you
recently posted a baptism for A.B. MORGAN and Margaret GARDNER's
daughter,
Charlotte Elizabeth, that took place in PE. [Charlotte m. Grahamstown;
Capt.
John Jarvis BISSET CM Rifles, Brigade Major British Kaffraria].

A.B. MORGAN hails from Scotland, N.A. MORGAN hails from England and
William
Ablort MORGAN from Wales.
According to Mark Robert Dunbar Anderson, the name 'Ablort' was a link
to
the LORT family of Wales - <<"ap" is a common derivation meaning "son
of",
resulting in Ab - lort = son of Lort Ablort.>> Still trying to find the
common thread between the three MORGAN families and STILLWELL.
[Last address for William STILLWELL prior to him arriving in the Cape
Colony
was 1016A, 48 Marsham Street, Westminster, London].

Shirley has been trying to assist with the Queenstown MORGAN - STILLWELL
link.
Maybe this will provide another clue for her.

Ablort Morgan STILWELL, Full, Bachelor, Wheelwright, residing Blau
Krantz
m. Queenstown 10 Jul 1861
Sarah CORY, Full, Spinster, residing Queenstown
Witnesses: William Thomas HARTLEY, Sarah PRESTON?
Minister: W. C. HOLDEN
Children: [1560874]
1. George William, b. 29 Apr 1862, bapt. Queenstown Methodist 22 May
1862
2. Amy Louisa, b. 30 Apr 1869, bapt. Queenstown Methodist 16 Jun 1869
m. Queenstown Methodist 21 May 1902
Ernest Walter MORRIS, 33, Bachelor, Native Commissioner, Marandella,
residing Marandella, Rhodesia
Witnesses: Thomas MCPHERSON, Kate STILWELL
Minister; Albert H. HODGES [1560874]

Thomas Ablort MORGAN, father of William Ablort MORGAN drowned circa
1805-1815 in the St. Lawrence River, Canada, while trying to save a
drowning seaman. Apparently a STILLWELL died of similar circumstances
also
close to this location. Unfortunately no specific dates to provide more
clues or names of vessels where this tragedy took place.

It would be wonderful if anybody could provide more pointers or
contradict
what I've posted. I'm always open to suggestions.

Best wishes
Becky
