Have you got Edwin Lock on the 1861 census for the Isle of Wight? If not I
will send you the image. He was one of 11 children born to William and
Caroline Lock and William seems to have been a man of some substance. He was
living in Carisbrooke IOW and was described as a town councillor, coal and
wood merchant employing 24 men and 3 boys AND a farmer of 243 acres
employing 7 men and 3 boys!
