Hi Rod,
I've checked my list...no, not one of mine...My family have an e at the end
of Browne...we have 3 Herbert Howard BROWNES ...my gg grandfather, g
grandfather and another who we know as Herbert (Bertie) BROWNE who married
into the LOVEMORE family...
We are linked (through the HARTS) to their BROWN family (without the e) but
your one doesn't seem connected to them either.

I have a Herbert BROWN in my data base who married a Martha Eliza FREEMANTLE
b 14.05.1865, d.o. Elizabeth Anne STILWELL and George FREEMANTLE. Does he
appear up your tree?

I've recently received a DEATH NOTICE for my gg grandfather Herbert Howard
BROWNE which was completed in the TRANSVAAL REPUBLIC in 1898...someone has
added (in a different hand) information which is not only incorrect but
could cause several problems.
The original is in Afrikaans....if anyone would like a photograph of the
